How to Prepare Your Request for MPRE Test Accommodations
Before preparing your MPRE accommodations request, you are encouraged to download and review the Guidelines for Medical Documentation. You do not need to request accommodations for anything that appears on the Pearson VUE Comfort Aid List.
To ensure that you submit a complete request for accommodations, include the following five components.
Five Components of a Complete Request
Applicant Request Form
Complete, print, and sign the Applicant Request Form.
Medical Documentation
Provide current and relevant medical documentation from a qualified professional establishing the nature and existence of your disability, your current functional limitations, and your need for the specific accommodation(s) requested.
NCBE provides Guidelines for Medical Documentation to assist applicants and their professionals in demonstrating the need for accommodations on the MPRE. We recommend that you provide your doctor or other qualified professional with a copy of the Guidelines applicable to your disability.

Proof of Past Accommodations
Provide proof of past accommodations from all testing agencies and educational institutions that have granted you accommodations.
- This may be in the form of a copy of a letter or other document (on official letterhead) that you received from the testing agency or school listing the accommodations granted and the test date or academic year.
- Alternatively, you may have the testing agency or school complete a Certification of Accommodations History Form and return it to you to submit to NCBE.
Standardized Test Score Reports
If you are requesting extended testing time for the MPRE, provide score reports for all standardized tests (e.g., LSAT, SAT, ACT, GRE) previously taken, with or without accommodations. Photocopies or online versions of score reports are acceptable for this purpose. The following contact information is provided to assist you in requesting score reports:

Personal Narrative (Optional)
You may submit a personal narrative with your Applicant Request Form to provide any additional information you wish NCBE to consider about your disability, history, and need for accommodations. Please include your name and NCBE Number on every page of your narrative. A personal narrative is optional.
Submit Your Request to NCBE
Send all forms and documentation together in one submission. We strongly recommend that your request and supporting documentation be submitted by secure upload via our website; alternatively, requests may be submitted by mail, fax, or attached to an email message sent to:

MPRE Test Accommodation Services

Fax: 608-316-3119
Email: mpre.ada@ncbex.org
Please do NOT submit your request multiple times or by multiple methods (for example, do not send your request via fax and also upload it). If you have questions about how to submit your request, you may contact us by email at mpre.ada@ncbex.org.
NCBE does not return documentation, so you should keep a copy of everything you submit.
Written acknowledgment of receipt of your request will be posted to your NCBE Account File Cabinet within five business days of receipt. If you do not receive acknowledgment within this time period, it is up to you to contact NCBE to confirm that your request was received.
IMPORTANT: We encourage applicants to request accommodations well in advance of the Recommended Submission Date for their desired MPRE test administration, in order to facilitate a timely notification of our decision. Accommodations must be approved BEFORE you register and schedule a test appointment at a Pearson VUE testing center; new or additional accommodations CANNOT be added to an existing test appointment. Please refer to Important Dates for MPRE Test Accommodations for more information.
